JOHNSON's
CORNER
06 / 30 / 2021
Johnson's Corner began its life as a gas station on Main Street in Longmont, Colorado. The property developed renown for being featured in the pages of Jack Kerouac's On the Road, and for being one of the first businesses in Colorado to welcome customers of all races and ethnicities. Designed 1937 by well-known architect Eugene Groves, this all-concrete structure was moved to it’s current location for restoration in the unique Prospect neighborhood. Nassar Development acquired the property in the spring of 2021 with a vision of preserving the historic structure to the fullest extent possible, while giving it new life as a destination for food, wine, and the arts.
Restoration of the historic building commenced in June 2021, with a targeted opening date in Fall 2022.
